Q. Is filobite secure?

A. Yes. filobite uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt data between your browser and filobite.com. We make file and folder uploads and downloads easy by using digitally signed Java Applets which are embedded in the filobite website. When you first load a page containing the filobite applets, your browser will prompt you to accept the digital certificate from Thawte verifying that the applet has come from us. The prompt will contain the message "This applet has been signed by 'filobite inc.'" (Note: The exact message may vary on different browsers and different computers).

Q. Do I need to install any software to use filobite?

A. No, you don't need to install any software from filobite. All you need is a standard web browser with Javascript and Java enabled. If you are not sure if your computer is ready for filobite, try the compatibility test.
